Best Nollywood Independent Film: Two Shades of Love

You can't get it wrong with these guys when it comes to Films and again, they have delivered. 

At around 20:00, we got a Notification for a new movie premiering on Youtube and we decided to join the party, more or less to collect reviews.

The first thing that caught our attention was the opening scene, it was a montage that went on for a few minutes but you could tell something was going on, something that kept us till the end of the movie.

The Movie follows the life of a comfortable young couple, Derrick and Beverly, I must confess that even in mainstream Nollywood, only a few Characters share this kind of on-screen chemistry. It was so easy to fall in love in love with the both of them from the moment they were having their breakfast, they were perfect but what is even more perfect was their delivery.

The Characters

Beverly: Played by Fast rising Promising Actor, Promise Binang Eyare, this Cross-River Born won our heart with CleanMoney but she showed why she's a Director's delight with her performance here, she was unbelievably believable. She carried the Beverly character like her own, our favourite moment was her monologue with the Doctor; goosebumps. Little wonder, the comment section in the live chat was filled with her names here and there. We love you Promise, take your flowers.

Rating: 8/10

Derrick: Played by the playboy look Paschal Ukoha, the model cum Actor is a delight to the eyes. With a flawless skin and an eyes that could make you shiver, the Imo-Born Actor aced his role. His delivery was simple but did the most with his body language, you could tell from his looks that something is wrong with him. he brought a level of realness to the character that is hard to find in Nollywood.

Rating: 8/10

Cynthia: Esther Emmanuel is just a moment from the mainstream Nollywood. The Curvy Actress exudes and commands authority. She's was so smooth that we almost forgot it's a movie. Her Sister chemistry with Beverly was special, you can relate better if you are a lady and you have your sister as your biggest fan. Everybody deserves a Cynthia in their lives.
